Bringing Symbols to Life: Beginner 4/5 Creates Shadow Puppets

Each year, Beginner 4/5 students are given a personal symbol—a unique design such as an elephant, a bird or a star that represents them throughout their time in the program.
This week, they carefully traced and cut their symbols from cardboard using pencils and scissors, preparing them to become shadow puppets. Mounted on short sticks, these puppets will soon take the stage behind a scrim for their upcoming Lantern Walk performance, where students will bring their symbols to life in a magical display of light and shadow for their families.
