Skyhawks Soar over Cougars in High Scoring Showdown

In our road opener today, the Cougs fell 48-32 against FCDS. On this beautiful fall afternoon, offense was booming, as both teams were nearly unstoppable. FCDS favored a steady attack down the middle of the field and gained lots of yards after the catch. On the other side, the Cougs favored the deep ball. For our first two scores of the day, quarterback Miles Chandor connected with Nathan Roth on two beautiful, full-field go routes. Later on, Townsend LeConey added two more touchdowns to the scoreboard, finding Charlie “Toe Tap” Glover in the back of the end zone and (yup, him again) Nathan Roth on a close range hitch route.

Unfortunately, all the while, FCDS continued to pile on the points. But, on the bright side, James "Jimbo" Golden and Hudson Sonesson impressed as flag pulling machines, and Lucan Glennan added a key interception to set up a short field Redzone opportunity.

Despite the loss, this one was fun. Thanks to our loyal fans for coming out. See you all next week!
