Middle School Shares: Students Showcase their Unique Artistic Talents

Country School fifth and sixth graders showcased their considerable artistic talents in group and individual performances at “Middle School Shares,” an hour-long production created by the students, for the students, on April 28 in the school’s auditorium.

Student acts included comedy skits, breakdancing, tap dancing, a drum solo, card tricks, a guitar solo, group and solo choreographed dance performances, a video of sports highlights, piano performances, vocal solos and joke-telling emcees.
“Community-building is central to the school’s mission and this event reiterated that this is a safe place where students are encouraged to take risks, be unique, celebrate individual talents and passions and show respect and support for others doing the same,” said Middle School Teacher Abby Cali who together with teachers Will Bass, Camden Fort, and Andy Tyson helped facilitate the event. “Part confidence-making, part courage-practicing, part celebration of the performing arts, the event was 100% amazing.”
