Library

The goal of the NCCS libraries is to foster a love of reading and to provide the tools necessary for independent learning.

The Lower School Library serves as a resource for all members of the Beginners through the fourth grade community. The purpose of the library program is to develop an appreciation of literature and to support the curriculum. Students visit the library each week individually and in groups. They learn about books of interest, the organization of the library, and how to use print and electronic media resources. Students borrow books for recreational and assigned reading.

The John-Christophe Schlesinger Library is divided into Middle and Upper School branches serving all students and faculty. The library provides access to a wide variety of online resources that support the curriculum and personal exploration. In support of fostering ongoing learning, the library maintains a vibrant collection of fiction and nonfiction available for self-selected reading.
