Creativity in Action: MS Arts Morning Recap

Middle School was filled with laughter, creativity, and connection Thursday as fifth and sixth grade students and parents came together for MS Arts Morning! Designed as an event for families to enjoy together, the morning's activity featured a unique and interactive art experience: students drew portraits of their parents—first without looking at the paper, and then while looking—and added color to bring them to life. The results? Absolutely stunning!
The activity tied into what our fifth and sixth-grade students are currently exploring in art class: developing observation and drawing skills while experimenting with color to capture emotion and individuality. This hands-on experience gave families a chance to connect over the creative process and see firsthand the growth and confidence our students are building in their artistic abilities.

The fun didn't stop there! Following the event, Kirsten Rosolen, Head of Middle and Upper School, and Lauren Romeo, Assistant Head of Upper School, led a tour of the Upper School, giving parents a glimpse into what lies ahead for their students as they continue their journey at NCCS.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this morning so memorable. Your enthusiasm and participation are what make our community so special.
