Dragons Burn Cougs in Road Opener

A big thanks to our loyal fans for making the trip out to Westport! Unfortunately, the shorthanded Cougars couldn't steal a win on the road, dropping 26-10 to the GFA Dragons.

It was a rock fight early, as both sides played unyielding defense. After the first quarter, GFA led 3-0 (you'd think we were playing football). In the second, the Dragons heated up a bit and started making some shots, but the Cougars took some time to finally break GFA's aggressive half-court trap. Aidan Grant was able to break the Cougars drought before half, but that couldn't stop the Dragons' momentum. By the end of the third quarter, they had built a 14 point lead. The Cougs never stopped fighting though, and thanks to some three-point sharpshooting from Dylan Svenson, the boys kept GFA working for it until the very end. Before we go, a big welcome back to Lucan Glennan who was on the shelf the last couple weeks with injury. Good to see you back out there, kid!

Alert: We have a second game this week! Home vs. Wick at 3:30 on Thursday - see y'all there!
