Shutout Defense Secures 3rd Win of Season

Stefan Borowski
Despite their lowest scoring total of the season, the defensive side of the ball stood tall in securing the team's 3rd win of the season, winning by a score of 2-0 against GFA. Arthur Lilley posted the shut out in net to follow up a great performance a week earlier. Tyler Jefferson and Jasper van Reesma provided excellent cover and great 1v1 defending throughout the entire game. Offensively, the Cougars had their chances, but couldn't quite connect the final ball or shot as often as they would have liked. Finn Malkoun played a great through ball, but the forward was caught offside. The most important piece was the win and we look forward to getting more of those with 2 games next week.
