Thrilling ending makes latest GCDS vs. NCCS a classic!

Coach Khuen
The Cougars looked to avenge a 4-0 shalacking at the hands of rival GCDS earlier in the season as they traveled to Greenwich on a perfect fall day for football! The Cougars went up two goals early before the game settled out and saw mutliple opportunities for both sides. A penalty save for the Cougars saw the game go into halftime knotted at two goals. The second half saw the Cougars go down 3-2 on an expertly taken long-range effort which buried itself in the top corner. With time running out, the Cougars went to three at the back to push numbers forward in search of an equalizer.  Their risk was rewarded when some neat midfield passing opened up an opportunity for a Cougar central midfielder to curl an effort to the far post, beating the outstretched Tiger keeper. The game ended 3-3 but felt like a Cougar victory!
