Upper School Takes the Stage with Beetlejuice Junior

Laughter, music, and a touch of the supernatural filled the auditorium on February 24 and 25 as Upper School students brought Beetlejuice Jr. to life in a lively and entertaining production for peers, family, and friends.
The cast—Olivia Back, Asher Daniel, Ava Dell'Aquilla, Ansley Gagnier, Henry Irwin, Sloane LeBaron, Grayson Richards, Mikey Suozzi, and Cecilia Thompson—delivered energetic performances, balancing humor, music, and a bit of the macabre in this adaptation of the Broadway hit.

With bold costumes, engaging choreography, and an enthusiastic ensemble, the production captured the spirit of Beetlejuice, bringing both comedy and heart to the stage. The cast and crew worked tirelessly in rehearsals, demonstrating teamwork, creativity, and a willingness to take risks—qualities at the core of the Performing Arts program at Country School.

For many students, the experience of being part of the musical was as memorable as the performance itself, strengthening friendships and building confidence along the way. Whether delivering witty dialogue, executing musical numbers, or embodying the show’s quirky characters, each student played a key role in making Beetlejuice Jr. a success.

The production was directed by Director of the Arts, Andy Tyson, with support from faculty and staff including Elizabeth Carroll, Mary Ann Lansdale, Chris Lawler, Brian Muller, Cinnamon Sparks, Reshan Richards, Lauren Romeo, Margie Stokley-Bronz, Jen Thiemann, and Josh Ziac. Congratulations to the cast, crew, and directors on a fantastic show!
