Health

Country School partners with Magnus Health SMR (Student Medical Record) to collect and store student health records. Through Magnus, you will have continuous access to your child’s health record as well as the ability to make updates when needed.
Later this spring you will hear from School Nurse Beth Lenhard about how to access Magnus including how to update your child's online health record. In the meantime, you may wish to ensure you have a recent physical (see below for links to the CT Health Assessment Forms) for your child ready to submit via Magnus prior to August 1 (the completed form must be no older than 13 months).

Transportation

Community Transportation Program
In the spirit of ensuring access to Country School to those beyond our neighborhood; as a way to build community among our students; as a commitment to contributing to a sustainable planet; and because less traffic on campus means a safer campus, the School requires all families who live within our bus routes to participate in the Community Transportation program. While a student’s ridership may vary from day to day, an annual transportation fee is required for all students except:
  • those who live within safe walking distance from the School - to be determined by the School - or beyond the borders of the transportation system.
  • those who live in New York, in which case, while not eligible for the School's transportation program, may be eligible to use NY state's bus system, at no cost (please contact the transportation coordinator to learn more about this).
  • Kindergarteners and Beginners 4/5, if they choose not to ride the bus. (Please note that Beginners 3/4 are not eligible to ride the bus.)
A list of bus routes for the 2025-2026 school year will be published in late August. If you have any questions, please contact our Transportation Team at transportation@countryschool.net, (203) 801-5667.

Food Services

An optional school-provided lunch is available for students in Grades 1-9. Beginners and Kindergarteners bring their own lunch. We believe that food is an education and path to a healthy lifestyle. Whenever possible, we utilize locally sourced food in providing an array of options every day, which includes a salad bar, deli bar, yogurt bar, daily homemade soups, and a hot entree - all grounded in wellness to fuel your child’s day! Our students love our food and our Flik team! Please visit the Flik website, our food service provider, to read about the nutritional value of our school lunches. The lunch option was available on your enrollment contract; if you wish to change your selection at any time before the school year begins, please contact Zena Zislis in the Business Office at zzislis@countryschool.net or at (203) 801-5605.

Please contact Paige Wallis, Auxiliary Program Educational Coordinator, (203) 801-5890, if you have any questions.
